Privacy by default
Meriq does not use your conversations to train AI models or sell conversation content. Your messages and context are processed by Meriq and the selected AI provider to produce responses. With Cloud Vault off, chat history stays in your browser session; enabling Cloud Vault adds encrypted history across sessions and devices. For users who want persistent conversations, Meriq offers an optional cloud vault with AES-256-GCM encryption at rest. Its key is derived from your vault password and cached by the service while unlocked or needed for an authorized task. Meriq processes decrypted content to provide its features; this is not end-to-end encryption against the service operator.
